 | Hahn Sizzles, Pittsburgh Fizzles Saturday, July 11th, 1908: After his 5-0 shutout win against the Pirates, Noodles Hahn said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."
They were better than good as the Reds pitcher put up 4 strikeouts, surrendered 2 walks, allowed 3 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
Thus far this season, Hahn has worked 208 innings with 79 strikeouts en route to a 10-12 record and a 2.81 ERA. | |
