After the doctor informed the Cleveland Naps manager that Magee was expected to miss 4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the second baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
So far this year Magee has hit .312 with 2 home runs, 49 RBIs and 66 runs scored. | | Tannehill Mystifies New York Friday, August 9th, 1912: Jesse Tannehill had an impressive outing today.
